A heartwarming incident from a year ago led Max Chen’s father, David, to organize a remarkable event. After only one classmate attended Max’s birthday party, David’s social media post garnered unexpected attention, with countless individuals sharing similar experiences. Inspired by this response, David partnered with Autism BC to host a large birthday celebration for neurodiverse children, which was attended by numerous kids and parents from different regions. The event fostered inclusivity, creating a sense of belonging and joy for everyone involved, and left David eager to continue the tradition annually.
